The Safe Wallet SIG focuses on improving the safety, security, and robustness of digital wallets. This includes addressing potential threats, mitigating risks, and aligning with best practices to ensure wallet implementations are reliable and secure.
This SIG was accepted by the TAC on February 21, 2024.

About This SIG¶
The Safe Wallet SIG provides a collaborative space to identify and address security-related concerns in digital wallets. This includes examining attack vectors, threat models, data protection, and UX implications of safety mechanisms.
The SIG encourages participation from developers, researchers, auditors, and product teams working in security-sensitive areas of wallet design.

- Documenting common threats and attack scenarios affecting digital wallets
- Contributing to the definition of safe wallet principles
- Exploring integrations of risk mitigation techniques, such as key management, recovery mechanisms, and user safety prompts
